All matches should comply with the rules of the game as determined by World Bowls. A new edition (version 3.1) was published in January 2019. Click here to see a copy. A summary of the revisions since 2014 are available here.

    All members of the Association - the officers, clubs and their members - are also required to abide by the rules of the Association - see below. Clubs are asked to ensure they are accessible to their members, especially those in office and/or play in any league teams or enter any competitions. 

    Proposals to amend the rules may be submitted by any affiliated club by 1 September. The proposal(s) are then circulated to affiliated clubs and a vote is taken at the subsequent Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Association held, usually, in November. 

    At the 2018 AGM there was a significant change to the league section of the Association's rules.  Click here to see the updated version.

    In 2020 the AGM will be held on Friday 13 November at 10am at Pirrie Park. All women players may attend, and each affiliated club has 2 votes.
